Patient :Hello, I am a 20 year old female and was diagnosed and treated for chlamydia about a month and a half ago after my bf cheated. My follow up culture came back negative, however I just recently went to my primary for a physical and they had me do a urine sample to test for G/C. They called me the following day saying the chlamydia was positive. I have NOT had any sexual contact with anyone for two months prior to my first chlamydia treatment(over three months total) . They told me there is no way I got chlamydia back and that I had to be lying about my sexual history but I am not. My fear is that this could be something more serious. I had to take another dose of treatment and will go back in three weeks for a culture swab with the gyno. What could have happened and why did the urine test positive after the swab was negative?
