Hello I am a 20 year old woman that has polycystic
I am a 20 year old woman that has polycystic ovarian syndrome. Last year I had a massive cyst removed from my right fallopian tube. They told me they had to cut away some of the tube it was attached to because of how big the cyst was. It had 3.5 litres of body fluid inside and weighed 8lbs. Because of the size of it I had to have a laparotomy on my bikini line. That was in February last year 2014. Few months after my operation I had a period that lasted 3 months. I spoke to the gynae and she prescribed me norethisterone which helped for a few months then I moved out of the area and couldn't get them anymore. My last period before this was in March this year and it lasted only seven days which is normal for me. But this period i have now started on the 9th May 2015 and it hasn't stopped since. Its been over 19 days now and it is still heavy with massive palm sized blood clots. I have a picture i took last night I will leave the link at the end. I feel so tired all the time. I'm losing a lot of blood. Ive gone through over 30 pads in four days. I dont know what to do. I had an transvaginal ultrasound scan that confirmed my polycystic ovaries but when my doctor was reading out my results she said everything else looked normal. Except the polycystic ovaries. i really dont think this is normal please help. Im also on citalopram 40mg, metformin 500mg, and im taking seven seas folic acid as I want to conceive. Thank you.
Symptoms: Heavy periods, blood clots, tiredness, pcos.
