Hello, I'm male, 40 y/o, for 6 months blood cortisol

Patient : Hello, I'm male, 40 y/o, for 6 months blood cortisol level 0.5-0.7 in 4 tests. 5 Drs unable to diagnose. Cortef and prednisone did not raise cortisol levels. I suffer chronic fatigue, loss of appetite, gained 60+ lbs in 6 month, hypersomnia (most was 26 hrs straight), short term memory loss, shortness of breath while just showering. 1 month prior to symptoms I quit chewing tobacco, which I did for 32 yrs. Could this sudden adrenal fatigue be from quitting tobacco? If so, if I return to chewing tobacco might it normalize cortisol levels? I believe I have adrenal fatigue, not insufficiency. Thank you.
