Patient :Hello, my wife is 27 years old and came down with 'stomach flu' Nov. 4th. She stopped puking Sunday November 8th, but her heart rate has remained uncomfortably high 144/85 with 117 bpm, even at night.
They drew 4 large viles from her (she weighs 120 lbs) in ER to test her blood, but she hadn't eaten in 6 days, and so drawing blood sent her into hypercalcemic shock (Tetany).
I thought the Tetany would kill her.
ER sent us home and told us to wait it out.
But her heart pulse is still painfully high, and she thinks she may die. Can Someone please help us by telling us how to lower her heart rate? I give her Pedialyte, plenty of fluids. She's eating and drinking, but not much. She's worried about her quick heart rate. Please advise.
