Patient :Hello! So I woke up this morning, only to find that my mouth hurt slightly in two spots. The spots appear to be red sores, with one being not noticeable (yet I can feel it) and the other being a bright red and bleeds slightly if I mess with it.They are both located behind the 6th tooth back from the front teeth. I also have red patches on the back of my throat. I only discovered these with my phones flashlight while looking at the sores. The patch is bright red and amorphous. It does not hurt or itch, but is very disconcerting. I did eat salty crackers, cheese, bread, and olive oil balsamic vinegar dipping oil last night. I also drank hard apple cider and smoked cigarettes (5 at most). The sores kind of hurt when I move my tongue around. They are not elevated. It looks more like the skin in both areas was just rubbed raw or something. The back of throat thing is even more troubling because I have no idea what it is. Also my phlegm is clearish white (normal) though sometimes brown patches emerge (probably because I'm a smoker). Please help!
