Help me please doctor

Patient

Q: Hi , I am getting an out patient surgery done with my tonsils and possibly adenoids removed. My doctor who is performing the surgery said he would get back with me before i have my surgery on when if i should stop taking the phentermine weight loss pills, well I've been looking at the reviews of people on youtube with them losing weight and came across a review of how you should stop phentermine pills before surgery , recommended 2-3 weeks , and I just seen this so i'm afraid that that is true but I was wondering since my doctor isn't available at the time seemingly it's after hours, what should I do? because i also seen some doctors recommend a week prior since it takes 6 days to be out of you bloodstream, please help me today is 4/8/2015 my surgery is scheduled for 4/15/2015 what do you recommend?
