Help my girlfriend

Patient : I dont know how to put this, but my girlfriend is very uncomfortable with the way she looks. She isnt ugly at all and in fact she is gorgeous (she is a model). but she has told me that sometimes she wakes up and feels like she wants to "rip her face off". This isnt a permanat feeling but she says that she does feel that way quite a lot. She was also seeing a counciller for depression in secodary school (also becuase of how she looked, back then she wasnt quite as good looking). she is very insecure and despite me, her freinds and family telling her otherwise she believes she is ugly. Her grandmother burned herself for the same reasons and later commited suicide. I really dont want this to turn serious, is there anything i can do? She has said that she dosnt want to see a "shrink" even if i were to go with her. what can i do?
