Patient : So I had an MPFL reconstruction surgery with hamstring graft, and tibia osteomy January 8th of 2014. It's almost the start of May 2014 and I'm still in a lot of pain. My surgeon is talking about giving me another surgery to remove screws holding my knee and tibia together. I'm nervous because I don't know if it will help me or do me more harm. They insist that it's the screws that are causing me the pain. I've done physical therapy, elevation, Tylenol, Advil, ice, heat, and lidocaine patches. ..nothing works and I can't even stand at my kitchen sink to wash my dishes. Any advice would be welcome at this point!
