Patient :Hey, I had my daughter a week ago and I had to have a an epydulroe and since I haven't had control of my bladder Iv been doing my pelvic floor exercisers but it has help, please help what do I do
Thanks for the query.
I understand your concern.
Usually, bladder control should return after the effect of epidural wears off.
But as you are not able to get the bladder control even one week after delivery, better to rule out factors like genitourinary fistula, urinary tract infections, neurological damage etc.
By clinical and neurological examination, investigations like urine microscopy, urine for culture and sensitivity etc, the possible cause of your problem can be identified and treated.
So, please consult your doctor and get evaluated.
