Patient :Hi! A week ago I fell from a tree from about 5 feet. From the fall, I lacerated my leg about 2 inches below my knee cap. I got 2 stitches on the inside and 5 on the outside. The doctor that gave me my stitches said I'd be fine in a few days to return to walking and everything. I'm a highly active athlete and I don't see me returning to any of my activities for a while. I've called my primary care physician, she's not too concerned because my X-rays came out normal. I still cannot bend or extend my leg fully. My leg feels very stiff. I feel that if nothing happened to the inside of my knee that I shouldn't have an issue walking. Could there be something wrong that an X-ray wouldn't show? There's no intense pain other than where the bruises are from my fall. It just feels very stiff. It starts to hurt when I attempt to bend it or straighten it past where it is able to go. The swelling just started to go down about a day ago.
