Q: Hi, I'm a 18 year old African American male with sickle cell anemia. When I was younger I used to get sickle cell crisis attacks, but that all stopped when I became 11. Everything from there was fine until I got to high school and started getting real fatigued out of knowhere. I could sleep all day and eat and still be fatigued. I feel weak, tired, and broken all the time. My primary doctor has never recommended me a special meal plan and vitamins to took but I took it upon myself to do some research and now I take folic acid. I just want to ask if you have any suggestions that could help me?
