Patient: Hi, I’m an 18 year old female, recently I had a fever and some sharp pain while urinating as well as a need to pee frequently. I went into the doctor and after ruling out appendicitis and pregnancy we thought a UTI or std. She gave me 3 days worth of antibiotics but my vagina seems strained and uncomfortable inside, like I’m holding pee…I have one dose of antibiotics left…I have thick yellow vaginal discharge. I have only been with one partner and we’ve been having sex for a year without this happening. IF he hasn’t been sleeping around, is it possible an STD could lay dormant this long? And if not, what could it be?
