Patient :Hi,my daughter has VUR and I believe that she has another urine infection, we have an appointment with the Dr to confirm.
My daughters urine started smelling fishy a couple of days ago (a smell we use as a sign of infection as she has had this same symptom in all of her infections which is around 30) now though it has changed to a really strong smokey smell. The smell is so bad I you can smell it through the bathroom door and it lingers in the bathroom for ages after. We have never had this smell before, what does this smell mean and is it more serious? Thanks
