Patient :Hi there, I was wondering if somebody can give me some insight as to why I experience lower back pain in the mornings, just after I wake up. The problem has been irritating me for the last 3-4 months, on and off (but mostly on). Before I carry on, let me say that I have the Lumbre Puncture (or Spinal Tap) procedure twice in my life, once from Encephalitis, and another time from an allergic reaction that almost killed me (and the doctors could not find out what I was actually allergic to from that occasion...). I am no doctor, but I do think that due to the two Lumbre Puncture procedures that I have had, has caused it to perhaps weaken over the years (the first procedure at age 7, second at age 13, and I am 31 at present).
So going back to the pain, it is present when I wake up in the morning, varying in the actual amount of pain, and also the length of time that it lasts throughout the day. Usually the pain is gone after 2-4 hours of me waking up, but while it is there, it is painful to say the least. Also, my bed is not old or warped in any fashion, and I bought a new memory pillow for my head, just in case that was attributing to the problem. So my sleeping environment seems to be ok. So, I am just wanting to find out, based on the information I have given you, if this is just normal back pain, or could it be something more severe? I would really appreciate your advice on this, and I would be willing to answer any further questions if need be. Thank you in advance!
