High Consistent Fever in Infant

Patient

Q: My 13 month old has had a fever since Friday. We have been able to control until Sunday. It is very difficult to get it below 101 degrees. We went to a doctor on Sunday and said he has ear infections. He has been prescribed amoxicillin and it has been 31 hours since his first dose. Today his fever is worse and we just gave him a cool bath. Before and after the bath he is shivering. His lips turned blue purplish from being cold; however, his temperature read 102 axillary, that's adding the 1 degree from the thermometer reading. The PCP said to come in tomorrow if his temperature stays at 102 to 103. Is there something more we can do to help his fever? We have been giving him Infant Advil Fever Reducer. Thank you.
