Hip pain from sports

Q: I've been having hip pain for a while now, but 3 and 1/2 months ago I had ACL and meniscus surgery and while doing my therapy my hip pain has been getting worse. My pain began a year ago during field hockey season (no real injury to it). There are times when my hip pops and it really hurts. Today, it popped really badly during therapy and it didn't feel normal after it. My athletic trainers said it was ok, but it still feels really weird and it still really hurts.

Symptoms:  -hip pain in front of hip
-dull achy pain
-pops quite often
-hurts to walk
-hurts to sit in a chair
