Patient: Hi i have discrete mid mail horizontal bumps on almost all my hand nails??What could it mean??

Doctor: Hello,Thanks for your question on “Ask The Doctor”.Bumps on nails are indicative of underlying systemic illness.It is common in chronic degenerative disorders, hypothyroidism, iron deficiency anaemia and B12 deficiency.It is not a serious problem.It’s common in the presence of multiple health ailments and in persontaking various medicines.Please check your haemoglobin and B12 levels.Please talk to your doctor.
