Hormonal Imbalance

Patient

Q: Hello. My name is Alexandra and I'm 18 years old. I have irregular menstruation and a hormonal imbalance: my testosterone level is a bit higher and my progesterone lower than normal. My doctor diagnosed polycystic ovarian syndrome and gave me contraceptive pills, YAZ pills. He said that I should start taking them on the first day of my menstruation and so I did. I've been bleeding for 15 days (while drinking the pills everyday) and I got worried, so I went to my doctor again and he said to stop drinking them, do the blood tests again and after that start taking Diane35. I would like to hear your opinion and maybe a suggestion on the pills. Thank you.
