How Can I Stop Losing Weight (and How To Gain Some)
Patient :Hello! My name is Michaela and I have recently been struggling with an extreme weight loss issue. It started after I became a plant-based vegan December 2014. I was 138lbs and now I am down to 100lbs, so I have lost about 40 pounds in just 4 months. Last week I started calculating the amount of calories that I was eating (which was only about 500 calories per day) and so I have tried eating more and this week I have been eating about 1000 calories per day, but the scale still says I have lost 5 more pounds. I was hoping someone could help me figure out why I keep losing weight even though I am trying to eat more calories. How can I gain weight in a healthy way without giving up my lifestyle and eating habits. Why do I keep losing weight? Tips and advice are appreciated. Any foods I should add to my diet?
I am a 5' 5, 20 year old female
I participate in moderate intensity activity (about 20 minutes 5 times a week with 25 pound weights)
Foods I do not eat: added sugar, processed foods, gluten, rice, bread, and oils
Foods I do eat: fresh fruit, fresh vegetables, quinoa, beans, oats, avocado, nuts and seeds
