Patient :I was just diagnosed with HSV-1 and HSV-2 in October 2014. I did a blood test in February 2014 and was negative for both. I did have cervical ablation surgery in May 2014 and my sex life hasn't changed. I have been with the same person for over a year and they just tested negative for both. How is it possible that I am now positive for both but was negative in February if nothing else has changed?
