Q: How to get rid of a yeast infection in males?

Doctor

A:   Hello,
Thanks for the query.

Yeast infections are common over the genital area. They can cause flakes, itching, abnormal discharge from the penis and even burning urination with an associated urinary tract infection. It is treated with oral antifungal medications like fluconazole tablets and local applications like clotrimazole cream to reduce the symptoms. You may also use candid dusting powder over the affected area in case the groin skin is also involved. It is recommended that you see a doctor first for an examination to confirm that it is a yeast infection and act accordingly.

Hope this helped.
Regards
