HPT Came Negative But Uncomfortable Stomach

Patient

Q: Hi,
I am having moderate to severe pain in my lower abdominal region (below the belly button). It has gotten to the point that I cannot comfortably lie on my stomach, I tend to lean back when sitting because the pressure on my stomach when sitting upright causes discomfort, and it sometimes causes discomfort when I walk. I am currently on birth control pills, but despite that fact, it is possible that I have become pregnant. I am still having periods, but they are lighter than usual. I took a home pregnancy test about two weeks ago, but it was negative. Is there a possibility that I am pregnant, or that I may even have an ectopic pregnancy?
