Hypertension at young age despite healthy life style
Patient : Hello. For the past 2 years I have taken blood pressure measurements and received an above average reading. I have taken many measurements at different clinics and by myself. I am fairly calm when I take these measurements as well. They seem to average around 143, 75 with a 55 heart beat. I'm a 20 year old male who exercises regularly. I try to eat healthy when I can; although I tend to lean towards meat over vegetables. I don't smoke nor do I drink alcohol. My body seems healthy with no noticeable symptoms. I do have a weak digestive system though (easily get diarrhea). Also, there isn't anyone in my family who had high blood pressure. I'm a little worried since my numbers are high for someone my age. I'm trying to lower my sodium intake although I normally don't eat very salty food. Should I be worried of my blood pressure? Is there anything else that can do to maybe lower my values? Thanks.
