Hyperthyrodism caused by anoriexa

Patient : I have been anorexic since I was 12 years old. I have manage to keep control over my disorder after a serious amount of help. I am now 20. Recently I have been taking adhd medication for my schooling Dr prescribed (50 mg once a day) this has suppressed my hunger. For two to three months I have barley eaten a meal and lost around 20 pounds. Also I got an infection and was given bacterium and steroids to fix it. I was off of both of those and was experiencing a resting heart beat of 125 to 140 a minute. I was getting very dizzy tunnel vision, shaking, extreme cold then hot flashes, and so on. When I went to the Dr they did an EKG and said my heart beat was fast and I had a temperature of 99.5. They also did chest xrays and they were normal. After they took blood they said they would run a thyroid test and other tests. I had a thyroid test 6 months ago and it was normal. They called me and said to go to the hospital immediately because my t4 level was 16.8. The hospital took me off of my meds and are sending me to a specileast but my eating has picked up. Since than I have had no symptoms except being sleepy. Is it possiable thay due to my lack of eating for those months that it messed with the hormones in my body resulting in a reading of Hyperthyroidism??
