Q: I am 15 years old and was playing volleyball, I jumped up to spike and as I landed I fell on my food and it twisted inwards really bad. I was in so much pain when it happened I couldn't walk. I iced it for 40 min straight with unbareable pain. I went straight to the hospital and got an x-Ray. The Docter said it shows no fracture and sent me home with a tencer bandage. I am in a significant amount of pain with swelling and brushing and a bump on the outer side of me right foot. The pain and bruising is below the ankleI, but the entire foot hurts when moved or put pressured on. I have not walked on it yet as It is to painful and I can't move it. I heard fractures sometimes don't show up in the first x-Ray due to swelling. I would like to know if this is true and if there's a chance its broken?

Symptoms:  Swollen, bruising, pain, bump
