Patient :I am 17 years old and I have gone through serious marching band activities for a total of 4 years. This year is the only year that has given me problems with my back. I didn't do much for about 2 months when it came to exercise, but I started up again in February and I ended up feeling a really bad pain in my leg. But me, loving basketball, I continued to play. About a month and two weeks later, I went to the urgent care and I found out that I have Sciatica. I'm so young and it really breaks my heart to find out that I have this so young because it limits me from doing a lot of things. I am over weight, but that is the reason I began exercising in the first place. I do stretches, and I walk as much as possible before it ends up killing my lower left back and my leg. The doctor at urgent care said I should be okay because it goes away and comes back, but it's been a while now and I just want to know about more things that I can do to help me heal faster. If I can ever heal from this completely?
