I am 42 and was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes

Patient : I am 42 and was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in January. I started taking metformin and have lost 14 lbs. My menstrual cycle has always been 25 days. Today, I am at day 32 and tested positive on a home pregnancy test. My husband and I are not actively trying to conceive so I feel it is unlikely a true positive. Is it possible that it is related to the metformin or even menopause?
