Patient :I am a 24 year old female. Around 6 weeks ago I had a fall in work and fell on my right side (I twisted awkwardly when I fell) I went to the doctor around a week after because my back and right groin was aching and she prescribed Naproxen. I took it for a week and began to get pinching pain to the right of my belly button. I went back to the doctor and she said it was a build up of acid and gave me omprezole to take one a day. After 10 days it didn't have any effect so I went back and she told me to take 2 a day and if it did not get better to go back. After another week the pain by my belly button was still there and it was spreading across my right hip bone so I went back and my doctor suggested I had Ibs and gave me tablets. The pain was still there after 3 days and it got so bad that I went to a and e. The doctor there said it might be an ovarian cyst and she recommended an ultra sound to check but I was not ill enough to have one there. I am really starting to panic that it could be something serious like ovarian cancer as I am depo prevora injection and I thought that reduced the risk of ovarian cysts. Also the fact that the pain has lasted for around 6 weeks. I am scheduled for an ultra sound on Wednesday but I am so worried it's cancer I feel sick all the time and paranoid of every little change in my body but it all seems to have started from the fall.
