Patient :I am a 60 year old male. I have been overweight for many years. I have had trouble achieving and maintaining an erection. Last year I lost 100# under a doctor's care through a high protein, low carb diet. I have maintained this weight loss. I still feel I could lose another 20#. I am 6'1" and weigh 220. I was taking insulin and high blood pressure medicine. Since losing weight I am off all medicine for a year now.
I now get aroused easier, looks good but am unable to achieve a full hard erection. On occasion that it nears erection during sex with my wife, I lose erection before I can finish.
Will losing an additional 20# help. I have tried Viagr and even doubled the 10 mg. but did not help. Only tried it twice so no build up in system. Too expensive to buy with no results. We used to be very sexually active in younger years with 3x daily not uncommon.
Am I too old? Or caused damage from past diabetes/meds? Can I do anything to help?
