Patient :Last April I had what appeared to be a TIA. I was talking to my husband and when I turned to answer him I was unable to speak. Very brief, but after the episode I had tingling , numbness to my tongue, lips and fingers. I had a full work up all test were negative. I did see a neurologist for follow up because I still had the numbness to my upper lip. He had no answer and said I may have to live with it. Now a year later the symptoms are back. My primary doctor had no answers and thought it was some thing for the residents to study to say the least I am frustrated. Not sure what to do now.
Symptoms: Numbness and tingling to my lips and the tip of tongue. Finger tips as well. On Monday had to focus ans my co-worker felt my speech was not clear.
