Patient :I am just wondering, I took my 73 yo uncle to the GI doc this past Monday for an EGD, the doctor came out, explained to me his findings and gave me the report, on the report he stated, "Bumpy mucosa inflamed looking fixed to deeper layers in the whole stomach compatible with ? malignant infiltrating lesion." He explained that the entire stomach was infiltrated and it was through all the layers, also stated that he was unable to distend the stomach. My question is, since we are still awaiting the biopsies, does this sound like cancer, and if so, what kind? I know I should just wait for the results, but I need answers, and any help would be appreciated. thank you
