Increased serum prolactin levels can lead to menstrual irregularities, tender breasts and milk secretion in non pregnant women.
Regarding perimenopausal symptoms, menstrual irregularities, mood swings, breast tenderness, tiredness etc can be seen in perimenopausal period due to hormonal fluctuation.
