I don't like to eat. Is it okay to get most of my calories through liquids?

Patient : Question: Is it okay to get my calories from liquids such as protein drinks or fruit and vegetable juices (I'm talking about fresh, from a juicer)? I don't know if it makes a difference to my body if I'm drinking the nutrients vs. eating them. I'm approximately 40 pounds overweight and I've recently started trying to get healthier. When I tracked my daily caloric intake for a week, prior to starting a diet, I noticed that I barely get between 500 and 800 calories a day. I know that I should get at least 1200 a day, but I'm having trouble reaching this goal. I just can't seem to bring myself to eat enough.
