I get frequent UTIs after intercourse Last year my doctor

Patient

Q: I get frequent UTIs after intercourse. Last year my doctor gave me two prescriptions of macrobid to use at my own discretion when I experience painful UTI symptoms. I used one prescription about a month ago, and the UTI went away. Today I am experiencing very painful UTI symptoms again. Should I see my doctor before taking the other prescription of macrobid I have, or is it safe to go ahead and take it now without seeing my doctor first?
