Patient :I had appendicitis a little more than a month ago that was treated with antibiotics only (no surgery). I began experiencing left sided pelvic area pain 2 days after the onset of appendicitis and it continues to increase in freqency, duration and intensity. I have mentioned this to the surgeon and an internal med Dr. but received no explanation. I have also been experiencing diarrhea and loose stools since this started. No fevers (I never had one with the appendicitis), infrequent mild waves of nausea with no vomitting. Pain originally was intermitent and pulsating and now is constant for hours at a time (three days) located around the ovary area. Mild to moderate in severity. Could this be related to the appendix - the physicians I talked to only seem to be concerned with lower right sided pain even though i presented with upper right pain and have a retrocaecal appendix.
