Patient

Q: I had knee surgery two weeks ago. Acl reconstruction. I had a nerve block and was told it should only last 24 to 48 hours but it is still numb. Should I be concerned about possible nerve damage?

Doctor

A:   Thank you for writing to us.

You need to see a Doctor and get a nerve conduction test done to confirm the diagnosis. This happens in some cases of surgery. You can talk to a Doctor to get the nerve repaired by surgery if needed.

All the best.
