I had the 5 year Mirena and had it removed

Patient : I had the 5 year Mirena and had it removed in Jan. Then in Feb I used the Nuvaring. I did not get a period in march and because of a mishap with my prescription i did not insert a new Nuvaring after the 4th week. I got a yeast infection a week ago, which is very unusual. I've had only 2 my whole life. I started using monistat Monday. I no longer have any discomfort, pain, or discharge. After the 3 application I was symptom free. Today I just got my period. My question is, Do I insert the Nuvaring like my doctor said? Or do I wait until I'm done with the monistat treatment?
