Patient :I have a 9 year old daughter. She had belly pain and we went to dr to rule out appendicitis. Two days later she was diagnosed with strep on March 4. She finished her antibiotics. Two days later she had belly pain in the middle of her belly just left of her belly button. She has no nausea, vomiting or diarrhea. She is eating ok. Our dr couldn't get us in so we went to a doc in the box. They did an strep, urine and xray of belly and it was all clear. He thought she might be getting the stomach bug and gave us Zofran to take if it got worse. She never started vomiting or diarrhea or nausea so we haven't filled it. She got worse 2 days later and our dr sent us to peds after hours in hopes they would do labs. They didn't do labs there. This continued over weekend a I took her to family dr. It was someone we ha hadn't met before. He did not want to do labs and sad he thought it was viral infection and should go away in 5 days. I received a call from her school today that she was sick again. 4th phone call from school since this started. I feel it is not normal to have belly pain and low grade fever for 10 days. Any suggestions?
