Patient :I have a large kidney stone (1.5 cm) and have been having recurring kidney / UTI . I was admitted to the hospital in Jan 2015 for a serious kidney infection and thats when the kidny stone was discovered. I have a history of stones. I am now experiencing a very cloudy, foul smelling, dark orange /red color urine. I have collected some of the urine in a cup and allowed it to settle. A white (slime like) looking substance collects at the bottom of the cup. There is no discomfort when urinating. Is this something that I should be very concerned about? Is a trip to the ER my best option?
