Q: I have an incision on my ankle. The stitches were removed and was told to apply ointment or Vaseline and keep it covered. The stitches were removed on04/20. The wound is not warm to the touch, yet hurts and is yellow. I need another opinion. There is no discharge of color but there is bleeding. It does scab once it is dry.

Symptoms:  Tenderness, redness, not warm, yellow colored skin, open wound, liquid on pic is ointment
