Patient

Q: I have mono and I've been burping excessively for the last couple of days.
How can I stop it?

Symptoms:  Mononucleosis
Doctor

A:   Thank you for writing to us.

There is no real treatment for Mono. You only take symptomatic treatment. Take paracetamol for the fever and take 20 ml of Pepto-Bismol syrup 3 times a day to help you with the gastritis.

Also, avoiding kissing or sex to prevent spreading Mono. Hope this helps you. All the best.
