Patient: I have one white sore on the back of my throat that is causing ear pain as well as pain when swallowing. I have no other symptoms. Is this strep or something contagious?

Doctor: Hi.The white sore at the back of the throat may be a granuloma, causing painful swallowing and a referred pain in the corresponding ear.Such infections may be contagious and diagnosis will be made only after proper investigations to see whether this is strep or not.Go for a proper treatment.Hope this helps you
