I saw the local nurse practitioner at convenient care today
Patient :I saw the local nurse practitioner at convenient care today about a second/third degree burn on my right cheek and she prescribed Silver Sulfadiazine cream to apply twice daily, but on the second application tonight, it stung and burned a little bit. (The wound has already blistered and opened.) is this normal? Also, the first application turned yellow and bubbly on the burn and a purplish-grey color on the surrounding skin. I just want to be sure this is a normal reaction for my skin to be having, as I have never had such a bad burn wound before.
