Patient :I was in a car accident on 6/9/15. I slammed into the side of an SUV going around 40 mph. Air bags deployed. Seat Belts didn't lock. It took Ems and police almost 20 minutes to get to the scene. I think myself and the passenger were unconscious for some period of time. By the time we got out I the other car had already moved their vehicle, were sitting on the curb talking to bystanders. We had been cleaning the car earlier in the day and I had scooted my seat up and never moved it back before the accident. I was sitting so close to the steering wheel that my knee had to be pulled from the dashboard by Ems . I was taken to a ER because I was my heart rate and blood pressure were to high. I was seen in the ER but they didn't do anything other than an X-ray to rule out next fracture in neck. They said that because I had been at the scene for almost an hour before arriving at hospital that I didn't need to have imagining of my abdomen. I have a history of 2 TBI injuries almost a year ago, and cervical fusion and thoracic fractures. My question is I understand that I am supposed to feel like crap and that it's supposed to get worse but is it normal to have the nausea and pain under my rib cage on the right side sometimes sharp pain. I'm nauseous but haven't thrown up.
