Patient : I was prescribed keflex for a puncture wound to my ankle behind my akilies tendon that was not infected but the doctor said to take it just in case it were to become infected. I haven't been able to get the script and the area is not red or hot but my ankle and foot is very swollen and I've been using crutches and not putting weight on it. I'm getting the script tomorrow so should I wait a few days with the antibiotic or should I go right to the hospital?
