Q: I was recently diagnosed by a fertility doctor with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome because my husband and I are trying to get pregnant. I will be undergoing a laparoscopic ovarian drilling surgery soon but was advised to take birth control pills before the surgery. I just wanted a second opinion, is this normal? To take birth control pills for someone who is having difficulty getting pregnant? Thank you in advance if you are able to answer this question.
