I'm 18 and I'm worried about

Patient

Q: I'm 18 and I'm worried about a bump (maybe a lymph node) that's at the hairline/end of skull behind my left ear. We have been worried about it for 10+ years. It's not super big but it's hard, painful and stays in one place. When we brought it up to my GP he would blow it off saying "you're just too worried. I don't know what it is but I don't want to bother it"- I'm currently looking for a new doctor to start going to since this seems to be the answer to every illness and problem I bring to him. Any ideas on what I should do next?
