Patient :I'm a 20year old girl. I started my periods at the age of 13. They were heavy and irregular. I was lout on 3 different contraceptive pills over 5 years (Yasmin, Yasminelle and Ovranette). I was taken off the pill 2 years ago as I suffered from migraines. This year, I went from February to July without a period. The one I got in July was not painful but quite heavy. I went to the doctor and was told my womb was enlarged and hard. I am currently waiting on an abdominal scan since the last appointment. I had another period the end of August but have not had one since. I am being told they were stress periods as I moved to a different country when I got the February one and I went back to university for the August one.
I have done many pregnancy tests which were all negative. The most recent one was last week.
I would like a second opinion as there is a family history of polycystic ovaries.
