Internal bleeding in the stomach area

Patient

Q: Hello, I have a question regarding the chances of surviving internal bleeding (in the stomach area). So here ´s the thing: my friend who´s been in the hospital for quite some time now because of some other unrelated ilness (about 2/3 months now, mostly feeling fine), had an internal bleeding in the stomach area. From what the doctor told me, it happened from some weird combination of a fecal bolus and his pre existing hemorroids condition. And he needs a blood transfusion. What are the chances of surviving for him? I ve been told the bleeding is not massive, but average.
