Patient :I have been sexually active with one man for 18 mths. I was tested for stds before having sex with him. I was given a clean bill of health. I have had 5 pelvic exams since becoming sexually active with him because of other health reasons. Was told I was healthy there. About two months ago a rash appeared on him only in an area where he shaves about an inch above his penis. He assumed it was razor rash. It didn't go away so he went to the dermatologist today and she diagnosed him with Molluscum contagiosum. I've read about how it is spread and the only thing he has done, and because it's in the genital area, that could have spread it to him is have sex. I again have had no symptoms. Have been given a clean bill of health. Been with no one but him, but my question, could I have had it and given it to him after 16 months and he just develop the symptoms?
